Attending the Digital Health REWIRED conference in Birmingham

In March 2025, part of the QMUL team attended the Digital Health REWIRED conference in Birmingham. It was great to hear from NHS leaders on the innovations being integrated into our healthcare systems, as well as the significant challenges being faced.  

Talks and panels included exciting topics relevant to all workstreams of CanDetect. This included a live comparison between human doctors and machine learning models, as well as thought provoking discussions on policy in the NHS to enable cautious but optimistic adoption of new technologies. 

Overall, the conference inspired us to think about the impact that our research can have and the ways it can be translated into tangible results in the NHS.
